EQ Invasion

Absor's Update

Hello and welcome to the August, 2002, edition of the Harpy's Head Herald.

The big news around here is that our new user interface has entered its public testing phase. The interface is available on Live servers right now, and we're looking for as much feedback as we can get. You can type in /newui and the new user interface load the next time you log in. The key feature of the interface is customization. Using XML, players can mold the interface to meet their own desires. Even though the interface has only been available for a short time, we're already seeing some interesting modifications.

We've also released the Bazaar to the Live servers. This feature is available to owners of The Shadows of Luclin expansion as long as they have the new interface turned on. The Bazaar is an area of Luclin that the locals have set aside specifically for buying and selling goods. While in that zone, characters will be able to search lists of items for sale, making finding what you need much more pleasant. They will also be able to sell their items from stalls in the Bazaar. There is a brief overview of the Bazaar available on our web site.

As I write this we're also just returning from Boston for the Fan Faire. It sold out earlier than any other. I've never been to Boston, so I had a great time checking out all the sites. Also, keep an eye on our Fan Faire Scrapbook pages for our coverage of the event.

Of course, let us not forget achieving a milestone. 100,000+ simultaneous players online!

Things are buzzing around here like a Bixie hive. I've got to keep movin' or I'll get stung.

Enjoy this issue of the Herald, and may your adventures be many.

Alan
