Server Merge News and New Server News
01/05/2009
On January 21, 2009, EQ will
be consolidating "The Combine" server and "Druzzil Ro
(Xev)" server into one server to be titled "Druzzil Ro (Xev,
Combine)." The merge will begin at 3 a.m. PST and will last
approximately five hours.
In addition, in conjunction with the upcoming EQ 10th Anniversary celebration, SOE is expecting to add a new EQ server in March 2009 and players will be able to vote on a new server type. To provide your input on the type of server you'd like, you can visit EQplayers.com later in January to vote in a poll. We hope that these changes will provide players with an even more enjoyable EQ experience. Read More.

Station Cash, Sony Online Entertainment’s new virtual currency, is now live in EverQuest and EverQuest II. Station Cash can be used to purchase items that will provide convenience and customization in game, providing everyone the opportunity to create a unique gameplay experience. Want to learn more about Station Cash? You can learn more at the Station Cash website, and by reading the Station Cash FAQ. Please note that Station Cash will not be available for customers in Europe until Wednesday, December 10th.

Legends of Norrath: Ring of Scale Scenario

In Kunark long ago, the winged dragon lords of the Ring of
Scale waged war with the airborne Iksar army mounted on their flying
Sokokars. Ganak – son of Atrebe and emperor of the Iksar – met with Jaled-Dar
– mighty-winged dragon of the Ring of Scale – in a legendary aerial duel over
the Field of Bone. They were both incinerated by magic and fire as a result
of this battle. What if one had prevailed? How would history have been
changed?

Billing System Change for Australia
10/28/2008
On June 25, 2008, Sony Online Entertainment adjusted our
billing system to lock country and currency as part of our ongoing fraud
prevention measures as well as to provide a better service on a global basis.
For existing accounts, the change locked the selected currency on the user’s
account as of that date. For new accounts created after that date and
accounts that have been modified after that date, users selecting Australia as the country are then tied to the Australian dollar currency.
